The ROOTs of Pride Picnic in Rochester, NY
The roots of our ROC Pride Picnic sprouted on a vibrant Sunday, May 16, 1971, when the Rochester Gay Liberation Front hosted a joyful “gay-in” at Genesee Valley Park, bringing together 300 spirited souls. Fast forward over 50 years, and we still gather in that same beautiful park to celebrate love, diversity, and community at what is now known as the ROC Pride Picnic. With more than 1,200 attendees flocking to this colorful event, we're not just celebrating our past but embracing an exhilarating future together! Join us on Sunday, July 13th, as we create more unforgettable memories under the sun in Rochester, NY!
